A very quick watercolor that I did based on a photograph of my mother-in-law, Montine, visiting a favorite park. She had a regal bearing that I tried to capture in this watercolor. This painting hung in her bedroom until her passing a few years ago.
This watercolor is of an actual cactus that was in my parents’ backyard, in Mexico. I added mountains, as there are mountains in the region. My loving husband totally surprised me by having it framed. However, I consider it to be an unfinished piece as it fails to totally capture the details of the cactus as I would have liked. 🙂
This watercolor was done to experiment with vegetation. I like the wildness of images.
Each of theses were cut from one watercolor painting.
The individuals pieces inspired me to add words.
